異国の言葉。

When   the   Day   of   Pentecost   had   fully   come,

they  were   all   with   one   accord   in   one   place.

And   suddenly   there   come   a   sound   from   heaven,

as   of   a   rushing   mighty   wind,

and   it   filled   the   whole   house   where   they   were   sitting.

Then  there   appeared   to   them   divided   tongues,

as   of   fire,

and   one   sat   upon   each   of   them.

And   they   were   all   filled   with   the   Holy   Spirit

and   began   to   speak   with   other   tongues,

as   the   Spirit   gave   them   utterance.

And   there   were   dwelling   in   Jerusalem   Jews, devout   men,from   every   nation   under   heaven.

And   when   this   sound   occurred,   multitude   came   together,

and   were   confused,   because   everyone   heard   them   speak   in   his   own   language.

ライラックの花弁は土に戻る色に、なり始めています。

札幌大通公園では、今週の末に繰り広げられる、よさこいソーラン祭りの準備が始まっていました。

元気のいい方々の踊りが、一気に夏を呼び、

札幌は、ひと時、舞う都市になります。

四季の行事は各国様々ですが、季節の変わり目を確かめ合うという所は共通しているような気もします。

ペンテコステは、五旬祭といって、紀元前から小麦収穫祭だったようです。

それが、イエスの昇天の五十日後、大きな風とともに赤い舌が天から現れて、

集まっているおのおのに聖霊が降りたというのです。

さらに、話を聞いている人々の母国語で、使徒たちが神について語ったことを、記念する宗教行事になります。

この出来事についての新約聖書の記述に、突然暑くなる夏を感じます。

 

夏は、札幌を訪れる人々の国の言葉を通訳する人々が多くなるような・・・。

また、来札される方が、北海道弁を使われたりして・・・。

そういえば、赤い舌のマークとともに、この春、札幌ドームにきたローリングストーンズが言っていました。

「サポロ　ニ　コレテ、ナマラウレシー」
